Have you ever worked on that thing, you know the thing that keeps you up at night, the thing that just won’t come together no matter how hard you try…That thing!
We all have a THAT THING! It’s the thing that we want to be perfect. The thing with no flaws, and no defects. The thing that is absolutely complete.
But, we know in this life that we are so busy living--- is not set up that way.
We all have flaws. We are not perfect. We can be a hot mess, sometimes! LOL!!
But, isn’t it good to know that there is one who is -JESUS-the Son of God. He loves us with a prefect love that has no conditions. His love is pure and healing with restorative properties. The Perfect ONE loves the Imperfect one! There is nothing we can do to change that. He will always love us.
It is His love that completes us. It makes us perfect. If we allow the Lord to work on us, over time the flaws, hang ups and THAT thing will become beautiful works of art in His hands. What we hated about ourselves, is the very thing He will use to bless others. Your story will bring healing and encouragement to another.
Though flawed, we can by His amazing grace become perfect in His character. We can become perfect in His love, perfect in His compassion for others, and perfect in His will.
Don’t let the need to be perfect stop you from being who God has called you to be! Go, be great! Do the things on your heart, all being imperfectly you!
